@Britain_People "We have good insurance" - there is your answer. More importantly, the US system is not an example of a private medicine system that delivers good value. Many do though. France, Germany, Australia etc all have insurance based systems which deliver great outcomes and good service…

@benstoneham @Britain_People It’s arguable if Australia’s Medicare is truely “insurance based”. Employees pay a Medicare levy of only 2%. It *is* vastly superior to the NHS in terms of primary care patient experience. GP too rude or busy to see you? Go to another one, anywhere in the country, no problem.

@benstoneham @Britain_People Having lived in Australia for 9 years I agree, their system is fantastic, and so much better than the NHS. My mother lives in France and raves about how good healthcare is there as well.
