I live-blogged my course this semester. It was the most rewarding experiment I’ve tried in my teaching. Would do again. 10/10.

Live blogging forced me to practice writing, communicating, and learning about my own discipline. 2/6

It took me most of the semester to find the right cadence: 1. a summary of what I hoped to achieve on the day of the lecture 2. a summary of the hottest topic of discussion the day after. 3/6

Every blog forced me to synthesize my expectations of the most important points of a lecture. I was surprised how frequently I was wrong about what the most important points would be. 4/6

@beenwrekt Enormous public good too! Also you're an infuriatingly good writer even when you make strident points that question the point of my job

@Apoorva__Lal Thanks. And know I'm constantly questioning the point of my own job in the process. We're all in this together...

@beenwrekt What does live-blogging mean? Having a blog post after each lecture?

@HaewonJeong00 Hah, I made it up as I went along. But I settled on this structure mid-semester and it's great.
