I find it crazy that orgs recruit guys for travel ball. The amount of times our guys have shown me their dms from orgs in the area is insane. Obviously, so desperate you've had to message numerous times even after the player said no. Post tryout info, whoever shows up, shows up!
@b2_baseball
Organizations that do it RIGHT, don't recruit players from other organizations. They do EXACTLY what you said. Post tryouts and see who shows up.
@nextlevelbb
Exactly. Its brutal at all times but the worst is when I see it in season with orgs reaching out to our guys. Those are fighting words lol but I tell our guys if you want to go play for them, GO! If you don't want to be here I don't want you here.
@b2_baseball
Agree. First get a good rep as a coach of high character and strong teaching skills and the kids will want to play for you. Sending an email to a parent or kid about upcoming tryouts seems ok but active recruiting after seems a bit silly.
@JoshCM
Agreed! You do it right you don't have to worry! Just frustrating to see these coaches trying to poach our guys that we developed. Haven't really lost anyone to them just irritating. No class.
@b2_baseball
What happen to the times when u got the 12-14 best kids from your area and then just went out and competed. Our south west Louisiana travel ball team came from about a 15 mi. radius and we would go to these national tourneys and compete. Win some, lose some but learned to compete
