The group had 2 girls and 2 boys but the issue was with the girls: Lee Jihye and Seo Jiyoung.
Seo Jiyoung was from a wealthy family and the group was basically just her asking her dad for a group so she could “play being a pop star” while Lee Jihye auditioned to get in

Instantly after debuting, Seo Jiyoung started bullying Lee Jihye bc while Seo Jiyoung was an ok singer, Lee Jihye had an amazing voice and had many parts/high notes in their songs which made her jealous especially when the group was overall supposed to be “Seo Jiyoung & friends”

Seo Jiyoung quite literally involved everybody into verbally and physically bullying Lee Jihye (her parents, the fellow members, her boyfriend at that time, staff, her friends) but Lee Jihye stayed. The incident that made it all explode was when the girls were at a music show

And were on the elevator, Seo Jiyoung (who is younger) cursed at Lee Jihye so she shoved her and Seo Jiyoung started acting like the victim about how Lee Jihye hit her without any reason.

Lee Jihye instantly regretted her gesture but it was too late and the very next day, Seo Jinyoung’s mother met her and hit her for “abusing her daughter”. The same week the management announced the group’s disbandment.

The group had a press conference and Seo Jiyoung planned to make their manager lie and say that Lee Jihye bullied her but the manager told the press the truth and Seo Jiyoung fake cried and left the room (the video is still available on n youtube) (she’s the blonde one)

The saddest part is that Seo Jiyoung married a rich man and is living a quiet life while Lee Jihye is stuck doing low rated shows to try and save her career

UPDATE: I’ve searched for some more info and the two girls have apparently “made up” and the group had multiple reunions through the years even though the public still thinks Seo Jiyoung was cruel to Lee Jihye and that LJH was too kind to forgive the group

Instead of saying backhanded comments like not all famous groups are talented say that as long as the music is good the group doesn’t have to have the best vocals the best rap and the best dancing
