Honestly I think that they went the ASAC route. She has improved on bars but will never have a useable routine, much less before Paris.

Yes, but still AA standings matter in the current US system, and the same was told about jade and she was at 2 international AA finals already.
As long as she's training bars she might as well make the most of it, otherwise just stop training it altogether like ASAC
