Maybe they are desperate. Doesn't mean they suck. At worst, it might mean they are a bit naive, but that shouldn't be a life sentence to poverty.

Not wrong but I don't think they are there for you, but for the platform's algo. Eg. the recruiter or the job seeker views might connect better based on these badges and so on

When faced with moral questions like this you should ask yourself “does this opinion seek to uplift or does it contribute to someone’s oppression / suffering” and you will have your answer

not a fan of the "open to work" but mostly that's because I've seen it being used by...employed folks? which feels odd.
I've been using the "hiring" badge for us though and it's been helpful getting good referrals from my network
