theres a lot of people doing open source work, who keep it a secret, this makes no sense to me, if youre working on something thats gonna be publically available you should tell everyone, because odds are four people are doing it too and together they all get done 16x as fast!

Problem is telling people about it requires additional effort (marketing) which slows down building

I'm not keeping it a secret. I'm just not advertising it. I do things differently. I have had a lot of people tell me I'm building langchain all over again, but I'm not.

I agree but it’s hard to find those who have free time for collaboration. Especially if they’re really good at what they do. But a spaces for brainstorming and meeting other creatives would be nice!
