@alechogg @Abramjee Ivermectin for human use is not banned in South Africa. It is listed as a schedule 3 medication requiring prescription. It however is not indicated for anti-viral treatment and requires the medical research council to authorize its use for such.

@alechogg We are calling on SAHPRA to allow SA doctors to treat at a known, safe dose of ivermectin while we await further trials.

SAHPRA: We have research clearly indicating that IVM at 0.2mg/kg for two consecutive days to covid/non-covid patients does NO harm. May we present said data for your consideration to potentially approve a safe dose while we wait for trials? @SAHPRA1 @Covid19Crusher @SahariIvsa
