Power shock as Snowy 2.0 hit by huge delay. The 2030 possible start and the tenfod cost increase on Turnbull's $2 billion pledge is a surprise to nobody who has been watching. Green schemes generally turn out to be fables

@alan_john_moran ‘Green schemes generally turn out to be fables’. That’s why renewables are currently powering 65% of our grid from 40% capacity.

@CJPomfret As ling as they get 100 per cent subsidies they will continue to crowd out reliable commercial sources. Have you ever looked at the prices as the renewables increased their share?

@alan_john_moran I'm not hugely surprised? Major projects always blow out, as you know. Especially as in this case it was planned for a World Heritage Area. This is why we need strategic mapping for the energy transition - it's happening anyway, so may as well do it properly.
