Opposition Leader Peter Dutton said Labor was transitioning to renewables “too quickly”. He and other politicians still do not realise that the transition itslef - slow or fast - brings increased prices and less reliability.
@CJPomfret
ACT paying less for electrkicity must be because renewables are cheap, after all. Surely, in view of that, you will now abandon your master and urge that the subsidies to renewables be removed!
@alan_john_moran
I think he was referring to continuity of source not cost containment. A transition of this nature, of such critical importance, has to be done in a manner that ensures continuity of power. Then again, if it is rushed the consequences of blackouts adds a cost .. that is avoidable
@alan_john_moran
@TruthdriverOn
Yes. the transition should never had started under the libs in the first place, upgrading and rebuilding what we had would have given us cheap , reliable power for decades to come
@alan_john_moran
Unless backed up by Coal or Nuclear. Considering that Nuclear is much 'cleaner' why wouldn't we build a couple of Nuke Power Generators?
We have an abundance of uranium, and coal but we can't run a dishwasher at night...🤪

@TruthdriverOn
But this is a trade off Australians are willing to make.
Ask the teal and green electorates.
Price is no option to the climate warriors!
@alan_john_moran
Why should a transition if handed properly effect reliability. I don’t get why govts trash reliable energy before there is something that’s able to take its place

@Anthony49668762
Excuse me Allan. Do you still stand by this? Senator Roberts commissioned economist Dr Alan Moran to use all existing government data to examine the true cost of climate policies. The report exposes that 39% of your electricity bills R for climate policies and renewable subsidies
@alan_john_moran
@Bernie17850
Sorry, why then is renewable cheaper? And reliability is a matter of storage and release which we already should have but for some dumb reason don't
