My Muslim brethren, building grand mosques at a time our people are ravaged by drought, famine and disease then turning to the church for help is utterly thoughtless. We must rethink our priorities.

@alaminkimathi Ruto been hopelessly giving millions in churches but you couldn't raise your voice on that. Oh wait there wasn't hunger and draught then.

@alaminkimathi Growing up, our only water source was at the local mosque. Health, education and religious institutions are NOT mutually exclusive.

@alaminkimathi I think it is a cycle in religious propaganda. Christians have been building "cathedrals and sanctuaries" for sometime now oblivious of the abuse, poverty and slavery around its members. I think all religion is a conveyor of political propaganda

@alaminkimathi Yes they know that their help can only come from Jesus Christ what they are building is a fallacy.

@alaminkimathi We as Muslims need to talk seriously about the commodification of our religion. We are doing the equivalent of mega churches, the masjid and pple close to top prosper while the community sinks deeper into poverty, disease and illiteracy.

@alaminkimathi We don't need masjids for now. The one's available now are empty and only filled to capacity during Ramadan. We truly MUST rethink our priorities

@alaminkimathi The number of religious institutions in Kenya is equivalent to the rate of poverty. The church fundraiser enough money annually to establish industries that can create employment for hundreds of thousands of youth. God is shocked at Kenyans... rich in resources but poor by choice

@alaminkimathi Governors in NFD are also eating everything meant for development and improvement of livelihood in their counties. I don't think all needs of citizens in NFD will be catered through harambee but govt policies. Nothing bad with doing mosques
