2nd half was played after heavy rain with off & on drizzle, followed by another heavy rain postgame. Games played in wet conditions can cause significantly more damage. Quick bayonet aerification to help the field breath, move water, & recover followed by a light roll & mow.

I thought there was a suction system under the field to help remove water from the surface.

No sir, we do not have any type of suction system. We do have
@AirFieldSystems
in-ground drainage rings and lines but they only move the water once it gets to the system. That is why aerification is such an important maintenance practice for all of our fields.
