To those saying WTC final was a one-off. I get it. But them’s the breaks. But also, NZ are the top-ranked Test side in the world. This will not change if/when India win 3-1 in England.

To those saying NZ should play longer series/more series... I agree fully. But so do they. Why don't they? Because Test series are reciprocal and other boards tend not to invite a team that has a tiny domestic viewership in a terrible time zone for broadcasts.

@afidelf One fucking test doesn't determine which team is best . That's why WTC final winners would never get that due with that one off match . BGT, Ashes still has more impact than WTC .

@afidelf New Zealand were in England playing test match cricket right before the wtc final, while India just dropped on for single match. Would have been bettr if wtc was best of 3. One match in different conditions shouldn't decide it all, specially a series spanning over couple of years

@afidelf NZ fans keep singing Big 3 Big 3 but never ask there team to play 3 matches test series atleast. I understand that it involves finances and all but they don't even try to grow the sport. We all know that just playing 2 tests at home is an easy way to manipulate your way in WTC.

@afidelf NZ literally played in the conditions similar to their home. Plus they had match practice of 2 matches in England just before WTC whereas india was comming straight away playing ipl. They were the better side in "that condition" hence they won but they ain't the best team anyhow.

@afidelf With all due respect, Kiwis played 2 test matches against England before meeting India for the finals. On the other side India was expected to arrive and play the Finals. Not taking anything away from Kiwis but had it been a 3 match series, we could have seen a different result.

@afidelf If NZ can perform like India did in Australia and like they always do in the subcontinent, then there will be no issue in agreeing to your statement. But, the fact is they haven't done it and most probably they won't be able to do it anytime soon. In NZ and Eng, NZ are best.

@afidelf Yes new Zealand won WTC but some facts need to be considered like 1no doubt 🇳🇿 r strong in 🇳🇿 and in seaming conditions.🇳🇿 having best pace attack for that conditions (even better than 🇮🇳) 2 but if u saw the away record of 🇳🇿 in previous wtc is like A: 0-3 in aus B: 1-1 in sri

@afidelf Calm down. Kiwi’s deserve all the accolades and are champions. That said, some facts - they had an easier path to the final, won a one-off final played in conditions that are lot similar to those back home and had the benefit of playing a series in England before the final.

@afidelf NZ are champions because they won when it mattered the most... In football, you can lose tons of friendly matches...But you should win big trophies.... NZ might lose tons of bilateral series, but they won when it mattered the most

@afidelf Poor Tweet, the very fact that you all played at a condition that were more similar to your home condition plus you had already played 2 matches in England. Not that it's a excuse but I will see how NZ performs in India and Australia to see where the actually belong.
