It's attractive for a guy to be meticulous in taking care of important things, incl his appearance. At least use a daily moisturizer with sunscreen in it. Neglecting personal care shows laziness, neglect, and slobbishness, and that doesn't make a good partner imo

If a man can't take care of himself, he can't take care of me. Good men are meticulous in all things, including personal care. It's one of the things I actively look for in a man, how clean and orderly his space and routine is.

It’s not a matter of deserving nice skin. Most guys just don’t care. Women think men should care or that it would be good for them to care or that they would want a man who would care, but men just don’t.

When I was single, I went out with a woman who asked what my skincare routine was.
I replied that whatever shampoo dripped down on my face got vigorously rubbed, then rinsed off.
