Just a casual reminder that non-binary people might require gender affirming care. Whether that be hormone therapy, top surgery, or something else. Being non-binary by definition means you're not a cis, meaning that to conform to your gender you may require gender affirming care.

I know this is a bit out of nowhere, but I was thinking of a conversation I had a few years back with a few non-binary people here in the Netherlands and how they were unable to get HRT because "they weren't fully the opposing gender of what they were born as".

So if they were assigned a gender at birth, they were forced to be that gender, experiencing all the gender dysphoria that comes with that. Basically forcing them to pretend they were a gender they were not, just to receive the care they needed. That's not care, that's just cruel
