I grew up in 70s, 80s Kolkata suburb, where cricket didn't exist. It was all about football. East Bengal vs Mohun Bagan match was religion. I would beg my parents not to go to school if EB lost, bcos those green-maroon supporters would troll me all day. I know what you mean!
