Rubbish - protest is peaceful and respectful. Personally watched students coming to and from the building all through yesterday and attending classes. To say intimidation is laughable
@Umelb4Palestine
As an alumni with two degrees from this university I am disgusted and outraged that you would even think of setting police on students involved in a peaceful protest without engaging with them for 21 days. All Alumni stand up and speak out. THIS IS NOT OK
@Umelb4Palestine
Someone who is a senior leader in global & international governance of the university not interested in the protest? Makes *perfect* sense…
@Umelb4Palestine
1/2 He is saying these things to insert you (the protesters) into a narrative that portrays you as dangerous and harmful, despite the truth of your activities. In this way, if members of the administration become so inclined, they can charge you with “serious misconduct” …
@Umelb4Palestine
2/3 for not following their “lawful” instructions to disperse & causing harm to Jewish & Palestinian students despite your group being composed of these & for causing harm to students & staff “afraid” & can’t access the building even though they cancelled classes.
@Umelb4Palestine
3/3 This is a scripted playbook used repeatedly by the university administration to feign fairness in an asymmetrical situation where they have pre-defined the parameters
@Umelb4Palestine
There was a time that students at university were considered to be adults. Now there’s a group of them behaving like babies having spitting & hissing temper tantrums & thinking everyone should respect their spitting & hissing temper tantrums. And their feelings are so easily hurt
