Watching Anti-China zealots push Three Body Problem as if it wasn't exactly the way the CCP under Xi wants the Cultural Revolution to be depicted, is deeply amusing to me. There is no outrage. Chinese social media has nothing but praise.
Praising Xi to "own the wumaos" next?

100% agreed, I've had so many people here ask me if I've seen it - to be honest, I'm surprised Netflix is so widely watched here and I'm not at all surprised by how many people have told me how accurate it is

The CCP opened it's archives to the most highly critical western historians (like Frank Dikötter) who've written extensively on human rights abuses during the Cultural Revolution (and Great Leap). Idea that the CCP doesn't approve of critical discussion of this history is absurd.
@USA_BaoziLover
That's funny because it's been pointed out that this exact scene gets scrubbed from Chinese social media. You cannot search and find it right now.
@USA_BaoziLover
The hilarious irony here is that Netflix completely DOWNPLAYED the cultural revolution, & devoted a shorter amount of time of an already shortened show to the GPCR & the key character development plot line.

Me, personally, could probably take on 100,000 Chinese with my bare hands. Now when we’re talking hardware I could probably take more of them out. Like a couple million. Have you seen a Chinese person? Stick arms, weak legs, FOV at 75, start to get sick if they don’t have rice.
