For non-Illinois people, this is the man that challenged Governor Pritzker at the last election.
The news called it before a single vote was counted. I remember looking at my screen, seeing 0% of votes counted and Pritzker shown as the winner.

From what I heard, the majority of Illinois gun owners have refused to comply. Or maybe they all just lost their guns in boating accidents.
