I think this might turn out to be something more along the lines of Pooh got offered money from another school and already has a plan….if you have All SEC players and finish last in conference….it makes it a lot easier for a school to come after best player when you suck

I have no doubt NIL is a big part of it. However, a competent, forward-thinking HC is going to be able to hold onto his best players. We’re probably not having this conversation if we don’t go 4-8.

Or get paid…..or both. College football has become minor league pro football. Team doesn’t mean as much as salary and contract. Free agency for everyone now.
