You are not a real Pokemon fan if you harass, abuse or assault anybody. These are lessons (among many others) that were drilled into your head by this franchise. I don't make up the rules. You don't get to be a Pokemon fan while being the antithesis of what Pokemon is all about.

I can understand people having critiques, but as you say, that should never get to the level of abuse or harassment. I’m hoping people calm down a bit, because the Pokémon community didn’t feel as toxic as it is now even like 5 years ago...

Exactly, just the other day I saw a harassment account that justified their actions on the basis of "Being a true Pokemon fan" and all I could think was how far they stray from that really means.
