Platinum is slow (less than dp) and barely changes anything from dp. The Battle frontier is the only major new addition & the distortion world is like a 50 minute thing. ORAS would've been literally perfect games if the battle frontier was added, which was a precedent set by HGSS

Nice work on some of this list together! I disagree on G/S/C being considered outdated as Gen 2 is my fave, but I admit to a lot of that is nostalgia. What about USUM did you like better than S/M? I personally didn't like what they did to Lusamine in USUM

Lusamine isn't the entire game. It added so much and the only thing that it did worse than SM was Lusamine's arc.

I Don't see how the speed of platinum would drop it down all those tiers but hey that's just me.

I mean the speed was really an issue for me. The battles were boring and the routes were annoying to get through. (although I love the routes in terms of design) Platinum still has a lot of the flaws that diamond has too. But the biggest is the HMs. It's in major need of a remake

I am satisfied when I see Hoenn at the top. Best region, best games. Even though Ruby & Sapphire are lower on the list, Emerald being the number 1 is more than enough for me.

damn man ðŸ˜diamond and pearl is just a B? my personal favs are black and white (both 1 and 2), pokemon D&P, and platinum. im such a sucker for the older games

Nobody should prefer a game with no physical/special split when there's a remake that does have it. Fact.

It objectively changed more than Platinum did to DP. (Plus I personally love Alola, Trials and Ultra Beasts) Ultra Necrozma and most of the Totems were some of the most challenging battles, in the entire franchise, for me.
