Dragon Ball/DBZ was the first thing I ever became hyper-fixated with. It inspired me to do so many things, and it lasted until I was an adult. This one hurts. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama, and thank you so much for all the magic you gave us. β₯οΈπ

He has influenced, and inspired so many people and made something that made a giant everlasting impact. He may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten.
@Trickywii
Grew up with DBZ, and even watched DBS, DBGT, and the original Dragon Ball. I absolutely loved it, he won't be forgotten as legends never die
@Trickywii
Shiiiiiiiiit. I'm actually stunlocked irl rn reading this tragic news
This man, this LEGEND, created one of if not the most defining series you couldn't find anywhere else buy in Japan.
Dragonball was a pivotal anime in my childhood that was irreplaceable in my heart. RIP Akira.
@Trickywii
Words can not express how much this man has done for an uncountable number of people, how many he has brought together in passion and awe. He leaves as a legend and will be remembered as such. May the light of a thousand Kamehamehas guide your way oh great one.
@Trickywii
This so so sad news.. I grew up watching all Dragonball,Z,GT and Super. I hope his family are ok and he knows how much he made our worlds better.
@Trickywii
We lost a true legend... Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z were some of my anime that I ever watched and gave me so much wonder and imagination when I was a child up to even now it's so hard to believe he's gone now... π π’
@Trickywii
DBZ is the single largest catalyst for normalizing anime/manga in the west. Almost everyone's first weeb moment was pretending to do a Kamehameha. Without him, so much modern pop culture would vanish and its not a stretch to say we wouldn't have a western vtubing scene rn.
@Trickywii
I know the feeling. Dragon Ball and DBZ were my introduction to anime growing up in the 90s, and I have been a fan since then. It is still one of my favorite franchises to this day. He was an absolute legend, and his work will always be treasured!
