Good news for MotoGP in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to have the SKY footprint and their F1 tie up that's similar to the Canal + deal in France where viewing figures are so strong.
@TobyMoody
1) Germany only
2) Nah it's not a good thing for them losing a free-to-air TV channel and thus along with it, losing MotoGP from Free-TV. (Most) People outside of Germany and Austria do not get this, but pay-tv is the devil here and will always stay that way. Plus Sky is just bad
@SchlacherStefan
There are very few countries who have free to air MotoGP TV in 2023. Youβve done well to get this far.
I understand the frustration as we in the UK have had pay TV for ten years now; itβs just the business model of the sport.
@TobyMoody
This NOT good news to me at all!!! ServusTV is free to air, has been showing all races and qualifying live and has a good team which includes ex GP rider Alex Hoffmann. So now it's going behind a paywall too I'll be unable to watch it. So really bad news from my perspective!!!
@TobyMoody
This is terrible news for us. Gonna promise this is gonna kill over 90% of the DACH audience.
ServusTV did an incredible job and their coverage was excellent!
I'm following this sport for over 30 years but unless there's a package for under 10β¬ I'm gonna quit which is a shame.
