This is like the most classic example of yuri bait. I don't like how most people use that term but this is for real 100% queer bait. It's a straight romance series. Reina is in love with her male teacher. It's this anime's fault no one trusts subtextual yuri anymore.

@Burd_sage @kiyuri_P there's no point. Teasing a straight romance regardless of whether there's any intent to go through with it is the default. Most people live their lives constantly being wrong about whether a man and a woman are dating. It can't hurt them.

@ToastCrust except the director said "it's just adolescence" when asked about the obvious queerbait. They she did the same in the blue bird movie making it 'gay until graduation'. I respect her because she's insanely good and did K-On but my god do I hate her too.
