"persona but everyone's an adult"
Everyday you go to work for 12 hours and then go home and sleep and once a month the gang gets together at someone's apartment to drink craft beer and play board games
the protagonist has a fitbit and you have to plan their meals and their stats decrease if you don't make them eat enough fiber or too much carbs or fat or sodium but also they take a debuff when the meals are too boring and also they take a debuff if you forget to take medication
hallway through the game just as the player gets a handle on an efficient rotation of meals that keeps the protagonist happy and healthy they develop IBS that completely changes the meta
lol I like persona 2 too but fucking no one means persona 2 when they say they want "a persona game with adults" they want a fucking rpg about fighting god smashed with a daily life sim with a big schedule where they can decide what to do every day and date anime girls
@ToastCrust
Persona but everyone has access to a decent therapist. An actual person who doesn't have hidden motives and isn't manipulative like most ones in media are shown as (for whatever reason, I'll never know why they keep doing that).
Also people communicate properly, no word twisting
@ToastCrust
once a month IF you're lucky
The final boss comes without warning and, drowning in debt, and the near constant threat to life that is navigating a rapidly decaying socioeconomic landscape, you barely notice the difference as things slightly improve as our culture's villains die.
@ToastCrust
I think Adult Persona only works if it's set in America because then you have access to the American adult's superpower, buying a gun.
"Listen, that's a nice evil plan and all but I have a machinegun and a persona. Who also has a machinegun."
@ToastCrust
You go to lunch and decide if you wanna sit with Kentaro, the bodybuilder guy (Heirophant), or Ayano, the cute glasses girl who secretly has an Only Fans equivalent (Devil). But unfortunately you'll most likely eat alone and your social links barely develop through the game
@ToastCrust
I probably have some more freedom compared to others but waking up at 6, probably getting home from work at like 4 bro I would not survive a JRPG
