poster child of shinzo abe era, natalist, family planning propaganda that implies the way to rebel against the oppressive dystopia is to be straight and make babies
@ToastCrust
it's fascinating how the whole underlying theme just completely flips from the first half to the back, and in the end it just finishes with 'hey gunbuster sure was cool huh?'
@ToastCrust
I have barely any idea of what the series is actually about, I've never watched it except for a couple of mins where I backseated a friend who was watching it, but imma take your word for it and RT this lmao

God the whole "rebellion" set up pissed me off to no end. The episode ends with a pretty exciting declaration and then all he does is "please let us go after we do this final mission and don't betray us" like what the fuck man.

Every person I have observed the behavior of that likes Franxx is a terrible person, so every new bit of context makes me go.
"yup, sounds about right"

Man, Ikuno really got the worst of it. Doesn't get her love. Series just vaguely mentions she ends up with Naomi in the epilogue. But she's also the only one of the original cast who suffers like that, and dies early because she cured everyone else but herself.
@ToastCrust
Crazy how people take this as a story about sex and procreation rather than uplifting the youth to find a partner who shares the joy with each other to uplift adolescence from loneliness and depression.

So do you want your home culture and people to go extinct, or do you just parrot all the leftie talking points without thinking about them?
