There’s always been something else. People camped out for Pet Rocks, Teddy Ruxpins, My Buddys, and Cabbage patch dolls in the 80’s. Tickle Me Elmo, PlayStations, & Beanie Babies in the 90’s. The “People are dumb for standing in line for sneakers” trope is a crock of shit bruh.

Thank goodness I don't buy into any of the hype for anything. But I don't begrudge anyone who does. Not my money. I do recall helping my sister get a Cabbage Patch doll back in the '80s. That was intense!

I used to work at Toys R Us, they used to camp out for Shooters and when PS2 came out some guy came in and bought 5 (he had employees buy them) one limit per person.
