Most professional places require high degree of collaboration. Nothing is better for that than human interactions. My git feeling is for the next few years the most it will replace is laptop in your room and that’s about it.

And so many are by people that apparently have never even considered trying a quest 3. Like, it's definitely an impressive piece of hardware, but so many "omg wow" features are highlighting the same features quest 3 can do lol.

Or did you mean is there competition of the product? Well yes, although you couldn't tell from most reviews: there is the Meta Quest 3. The AVP is about 30% better but 600% more expensive.

I think a point has been reached where apple products don’t actually excite people but content creators are trying so hard to excite themselves and others about the products which is turning it cringe.
