@TheEvertonian78 We have 2 decent 8's in Iwobi & Doucoure. We also appear to be chasing 8's in the market Alan as a 6 in a 4-3-3 isn't good enough. Delph is actually much better at sniffing out danger & passing between the lines He's suited to 4-2-3-1 or any formation with 2 DMs, IMO.

@TheEvertonian78 He’s not the kind of ‘6’ we need. He’s a useful player as he goes hunting and leaves his position to win the ball. What I think we need is more of a Delph type who will screen the back 4, similar to how Barry did.

@TheEvertonian78 He’s not a No.6 and never has been. Carlo signed him and tried turning him into one but you can see he wants to get about the pitch pressuring people and putting tackles in, No.6’s don’t play like that

@TheEvertonian78 I rate him highly, obviously wasn’t fit and didn’t get much help in the middle of the park at times last season. Wouldn’t mind a midfield of: Gordon Iwobi Allan zinchenko Richarlison There’s always room for improvement on that but no real midfield players linked yet

@TheEvertonian78 He's useful in a midfield 3 but not as the 6. He's actually better when he has freedom to hunt and press. It was very noticeable how much more calm and controlled Delph was in the 6 position (for the whole 3 games like).

@TheEvertonian78 If you look purely at what he does on the pitch he doesn’t suite the league he’s far too slow and does nothing well, people love him cause he’s aggressive gives loads of fouls away and “looks hard” it’s just weird I don’t care what a player looks like I’m arsed wether their good.
