And on here, a national writer tried to convince himself and everyone else that a Defensive Coordinator that ultimately couldn’t hold on to his own assistant job was a great hire for a program in the Top 15 all-time in wins.
@SwainEvent
I wish he would just say “I liked Schiano at the time but it’s now clear he wasn’t the commodity I thought.” Saying that little would say a lot.
@withrowzone
Chad, the funny thing is we’ll never know how Schiano would have done as HC at Tennessee, but we know for sure Pruitt only mustered 5 wins (2 of which were against FCS teams) in year one. Pump the brakes on your arrogance about that hire.
@withrowzone
Credibility within the sports reporting world is very suspect as related to certain people. Unfortunately for them they become irrelevant when they try to follow the social agenda instead of reporting on the actual merits of a particular hire.
@TracyPackDDS
There isn’t one good argument that Schiano was right fit or a good hire for UT. As evidenced by his inability to keep his DC job. It’s ok for those that argued for him to admit they were wrong and move on. That would go a long way in winning back credibility.
@withrowzone
One of the great lines, from one of the great movies ever made often sums up just about everything
@DanWolken
has to say about college football.
