Why does Kate refer to her cancer in the past tense - 'had been present'? It sounds like she does not currently have cancer, so why is everyone calling her brave and acting like she's in a fight for her life?
@Sussex_Chronic
I think the phrasing is confusing people. But the lab report from whatever tissue would have shown it was present so on the report it “had been present” in that tissue. That tissue was tested already so it was present in that tissue in the past.
@Sussex_Chronic
Exactly. Cancer cells were removed
So she doesn't currently have cancer now if you believe her story. I however think that her and chuck are lying
@Sussex_Chronic
To minimise it. But like everything they do it doesn’t make sense. Because if she doesn’t have cancer now then why the big woe is me?🤷♀️
@Sussex_Chronic
Sounds like they removed the cancer. She is now getting Adjuvant chemotherapy that is meant to kill any remaining, microscopic cancer cells a surgeon couldnt see & may have missed, & to destroy any cells that may have escaped and spread to other parts of the body
@Sussex_Chronic
She does Not have any cancer. During her abdominal surgery, some cells which were removed and tested, were found to be cancerous. Thus preventative chemo has started to stop any further growth.
Her statement was deliberately ambiguous to confuse people.
@Sussex_Chronic
BM up to it's usual tricks of misguiding people and KP happy for misinformation to prevail rather than correct it becoz it diverts attention from whatever KP is trying to hide.
@Sussex_Chronic
According to my sister (a doctor), it’s just awkward wording. When she said preventative chemo, she probably meant precautionary chemo - in case after they removed whatever had the cancer, there was some trace amount left that needed chemo to fully eradicate.
@Sussex_Chronic
I think the surgery took out all the cancer out if it was present
It may just be cancer in situ. The chemotherapy is a just in case thing. Yes it’s a little exaggerated.

Because she needs to get chemo to make sure that it doesn’t reappear? Chemo isn’t a walk in the park. Anyone going through that is brave. Coming out & talking about it after not getting any peace to tell her kids in a timely way makes her brave too. Of course trolls won’t agree.
