Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m not playing 3DS games any other way now. Thank you

We will be reviewing the new AYANEO FLIP DS over on
@Handheld_HQ
! We just got the device today, and trying 3DS was the first thing we did! Next up…Wii U!

That’s fair! Nothing wrong with that, but it feels good to have a dedicated dual screen like this again. I miss playing DS games this ways and the second screen is very useful in general!

It isn’t as bad as it looks, I can assure you on that!
So far, pretty on par with Ally, Legion Go, and other 7840U devices.

I’d be curious how it would handle ChimeraOS or Bazzite with the second screen. That’s my plan to try out after the review!

bottom screen bezzles are way too big also it weighs over 600grams which is over double what a 3ds xl weighs, they should make a lighter one with less powerful hardware because you dont need an 8 core cpu to emulate 3ds games or wii u games

True, you don’t, but the screen has other utilities. That’s one way to use them, but it’s a second screen that you can put anything on. It also defaults to the performance overlay and shortcuts, which I personally like.

It is, but compared to the competition, it’s really well priced! AYANEO has been getting much better with their pricing overall.

I haven’t had any issues as of yet, but they’ve been doing well with AYASpace updates and graphics drivers are coming from AMD, so we have the newest ones with support for AFMF.

True, but this is a full fledged screen. So it can be used for anything. I also love the utility it has from AYASpace and application shortcuts.
Also, WiiU emulation!
