@SteamDeckHQ Price isn't quite there for me but still joined the waitlist to see if I convince myself otherwise. ๐Ÿซฃ

@kbschlitty That's fair! Could be a nice little boost, but we want to see a good enough improvement to justify $100.

@SteamDeckHQ Why would I want this? Besides bragging rights the hardware will chug at that resolution and make the Deck less fun. Unless your idea of fun is constantly tweaking settings.

@nyzaf While I do love to tweak settings (I do review and optimize games), I agree that there are concerns about battery life at that resolution. I do like the color accuracy improvements however. And I LOVE that this could start others trying to break into this as well.

@SteamDeckHQ Isn't this going to make the battery last even less?

@DoggtorEd It is possible. We did ask about it and will update once we have more details!

@SteamDeckHQ Not interested. The 800p screen on the steam deck is more than enough. 1200p will just stretch some games even harder on performance. Games that run great at 40fps will struggle to hit 30 in that case. 800p, 60hz and OLED? Now you're talking.

@Mikpwn That would be a dream come true. 1200p does feel a bit unnecessary and 800p looks crisp without draining too much battery. OLED would be amazing as well, would give anything for an OLED screen to use on the Deck.

@SteamDeckHQ Of all the things to upgrade. The screen isnโ€™t it in our opinion.

@Games_InHand In the end, having options and seeing modularity with how to customize the device is never a bad thing and could lead to some screens with major improvements down the line!

@SteamDeckHQ Oh, I'm interested. I'm definitely gonna check it it out. Wish it was OLED, though. Maybe with the steam deck 2

@DragonOfDojima_ We can only hope! But this screen should have better color accuracy. Could be interesting paired with VibrantDeck.

@SteamDeckHQ Eh not really worth it. Just a slight resolution boost, no HDR or OLED & still just 60hz. Only vibrancy is the real plus.

@AaronBaileyArt That's fair. I am curious to see how well the screen will work with battery life, but I will say this is also the first screen replacement outside of Valve that changes things up a bit. I think that is quite exciting!
