Setting up a multisig wallet with multiple users in remote locations is now easier with an initial implementation of BIP129, also known as BSMS. Any imported keystore can be exported as a .bsms file and sent to others for import during wallet setup.

Completed multisig wallets can also be imported and exported using .bsms files. Note that support for BIP129 is still emergent in hardware wallets, with the aim to support signing of .bsms exports and verification of multisig wallets using these devices.

This release also supports configuring a block explorer to allow a transaction to be easily opened in the browser. Consider running your own block explorer instance for better privacy. can be installed on most node packages.

There are many other features and bug fixes in this release, including clearer UX around BIP39 passphrases and better support for certain Bitcoin Core server configurations. See the release notes for details:
