Health Status Update:
Met with my lung doc & X-rays show major progress. Also saw my X-rays when I went into the hospital, & to quote my doc, my lungs were "obliterated" by COVID at that time.
I'm about 3 weeks from full recovery, but can resume most activities now. π πͺ
Fully appreciate how lucky I am to have come through this whole ordeal. The love & support of my family, & my soccer family, really did help me get through this. That may sound cheesy, but it really does help you when you feel like you're not alone & have the support of so many.
Can't stress enough how important it is to stay safe, mask up, get your vaccine & seek treatment ASAP if you get COVID & symptoms worsen.
Don't be afraid of a hospital visit. Hospitals are MUCH better equipped now after a year of battling COVID & treating people. It saved me.
I'll be dropping a big

exclusive Thursday to mark my full return off the DL (though lets face it, I never did stop)

I got into the hospital and on the treatment before scarring could kick in, but my lungs were completely filled by my second day in. If I had put off going to the hospital even a day more things could have gone really badly for me.
