@wil_da_beast630 There’s a Black journalist in Canada who visited Vancouver for the first time and didn’t find it ‘diverse’ because the Black population was too small, completely erasing how 2/3rds of the region is either Chinese or Indian.

Because Argentina is .4% Black. To a political scientist, the striking thing about many "woke" takes - 'population minorities cannot effectively be racist' - is how utterly provincial they are.

@SinghingSam @wil_da_beast630 Yeah because “diversity” doesn’t mean inclusion of all types of people it means containing an “ideal” ratio of the desired minorities

@SinghingSam @wil_da_beast630 I live in a part of the country with high Asian, Hispanic, and white populations, and a substantial Middle Eastern population. A number of years ago, some black schoolteacher here asserted that her presence was good bc it forced her students to deal with racial diversity.

@SinghingSam @wil_da_beast630 Amen. To most of these black professor/journos diversity simply means more black people. Not more people from every corner of the world.
