. Jill on shame was chilling. Shame - whether about sexuality, gender identity, HIV status, mental health, abortion, abuse, alcohol, drug use & the choices we make - is never helpful. It silences, it hurts & it kills. We must stand against stigma & shame

It really really is. It reminded me of so many times I have had variations of that conversation with partners, friends and myself about refusing to be ashamed x

I read that Jill's mum in the programme was played by the real 'Jill' a friend of Russel T Davies. How wonderful is that. An incredible character and to know she was also involved gives me goosebumps.

I might like to discuss if there is « the right kind of shame ».
I can think of some circumstances where it would be helpful.

and so proud of Jill. We need more Jillβs in this world. π

I don't cry often It's a Sin just broke my heart. I sobbed and felt real sadness. There was so much ignorance and fear but also so many inspirational people too. I hope this wakes people up!

We loved Jill. I liked that they didn't end it in a nice glossy way where she got to say goodbye. This was so much more powerful and real. Cried in pretty much every episode π
