Wrong, weak men do this. You can absolutely be married and end up as a doormat, but it is up to the man to not let himself become one. If he is, chances are he is a doormat in life as well.

I basically have to force my husband to go hang out with his friends, otherwise he always makes excuses not to.
I also don't ever text or call him unless I need an answer to something right away, which is rare bc I'm not an idiot and can figure things out by myself.
