@SanctumArcana @visegrad24 The problem is complex. Sports as a whole is a tool for Putin for raising the national spirits, sort of a soft influencer, easy one too. "Yes we might be getting poorer and isolated but look how well we do at sports, isn't it great to be russian?" We should deny this tool.

@Niksnaks123 @visegrad24 I can't agree. If we go after individual Russians, like athletes and tourists, they will gather behind Putin. That's what people do. They flock to their leader. The only effect we get through something like this, is a strengthening of the Russian resolve and Putin's position.
