@visegrad24 Rather why did Ukraine sue them at all? It comes across as highly ungrateful and back-stabbery to those countries who have been helping Ukraine so much.

The pro-Ukrainian politician Michal Šimečka could have won yesterday’s election in Slovakia and become the new PM. His campaign was hurt by the fact that Ukraine decided to sue Slovakia in the WTO over the grain conflict. Why didn’t Ukraine wait a month with turning to the WTO?

@SanctumArcana It's the only way to get a ruling on whether the imposed ban is valid or not. Don't put too much (or preferably any) emotions into it.

@J_useful Even in the event that the ban isn't valid, it's still a cold and kinda shitty thing to do. The leaders of Ukraine should reflect carefully on, whether the severe loss of goodwill among countries they depend heavily on is truly worth whatever potential gain they might achieve.
