Took a journey over to the other valley tonight to watch what was touted as a "proper" derby between @CrumlinRugby and @HafodyrynysRFC . It turned out to be a combined @OakdaleRFC /Crumlin team. Apparently theres cash kicking around at crumlin. A convincing win for crumlin.

@WelshRugbyTeam1 @thomasaptamp It cannot be proved. Why did alot of players leave @MonmouthRFC after gaining prom to div 1? Some of the players were travelling from the valleys to play for Monmouth. Apparently @LlanhillethRFC are paying. Heard that from a very reliable source at the Hafodrynys game this week.

@Owenins @dafyddfrancis @leepearson11 From the transcript i was shown in confidence, it stated that WAG were happy, but a few member clubs were unsure about the feasibility of returning to non contact training. Due to that the WRU stopped it going ahead.

@RugbyPhilBB No, i believe it cost the WRU around £1m to run last season or the season before, with very little in return with regards to players actually developing into fulltime seasoned pros. There was talk of a GB team instead, but i believe either scot didn't want it...

@welshclubrugby @LambsRfc @WRU_Community They all say the same. Free kit etc. Look at the team @MonmouthRFC fielded last season. Players travelled from the valleys to play for them. They lost a huge amount of players at the end of the season due to the main benefactor leaving/being voted out.

I believe at this age, regional cup comps is the only competitive rugby they get to play, so I guess the focus is being as strong as they can for as long as possible. 4.
