I think there's an error in the date given for this footage in the archives.
There's no reference to any air attack against TG58.3 on June 13th in Enterprise's logbooks, nor in Spruance's after action report. I think this footage is from the 15th.

The 3" 50s were developed to smash kamikaze's, however they were fielded after WWII. They proved to be too slow to track and hit jet aircraft.
