Real talk I don't enjoy having to choose between putting all my skill points into weight lifting instead of social and science like I had planned. It's caused me to slow down playing the game that I was enjoying quite a bit.

Did you know that your companions can carry stuff for you also? I forgot that was a mechanic in these games till I talked to mine. They can carry more weight than you can which is nice!
@Epicopenworld
Yes, and I've done that when I can. I talk about it in the full podcast episode, but there are many times when exploring that my companion gets lost.

Starfield does an excellent job of making you think about your choices. I hardly pick up anything because that's not the burden I want. I don't feel like I have to do that if I don't want to, and I’m free to play how I choose.

You can use your companions,your ship and also there are several unlimited storage places in Yhe Lodge. Just pick up weapons,apparel and resources and it’s easy to manage.

Rinna I think a game design discussion should be had. They put limits in games with how much loot you can carry to not bloat your memory and save size. An open world game has limits. I'm not sure why this point wasn't raised. There is no game that allows unlimited item holds.

Your safe in your bedroom at constellation has unlimited capacity. Which helps but is not specifically stated to the user.
Also if you upgraded the frontiers cargo hold or steal or buy a new starship with a larger cargo hold can mitigate this as well.
@RianaTweetsNow
There is items that you can consume that will also increase the amount you can carry. If you ever find your self over encumbered and need to be able to fast travel. Something that’s always been in Bethesda game
