Whatever your opinions on the CFP selection process, it’s a step in the right direction that the Coaches Poll no longer influences anything.

@RedditCFB When will people realize that all of the polls/rankings are a joke? All of them are motivated by bias, agendas, money, and so on.

@RedditCFB This is why the “preseason ranking don’t mean anything” take will forever be a 🤡 take. Every ranking is influenced first and foremost by the ranking before it. If we just waited until mid season to release rankings, we’d weed out a lot of this noise.

@RedditCFB Pitt beat WVU by 7 at home and has a loss. KU beat WVU by 13 on the road and is undefeated. So of course Pitt has 40 times as many votes as KU. Make it make sense.
