A Radio Zealand journalist says an Indonesian govt official attempted to bribe and intimidate him at the recent 22nd Melanesian Spearhead Group leaders' meeting in Port Vila. Jakarta has responded on Monday saying it will "surely look" into the claims.

@RNZPacific Indonesia treats corruption like a game. While brutally colonising West Papua, they casually kill, torture and rape so, to them, corruption is only a minor crime.

@RNZPacific I believe All Melanesia Prime Minister reject ULMPW get into MSG spread Group.. Maybe they also get bribe from Indonesia as well ..Melanesia leader they support West Human Rights for many year , but they can’t put ULMPW into MSG spread group..

@RNZPacific Journalist are neutral, but this is different from Indonesian, which has Journalist who are subordinateto the authorities.
