Got home from nights at 8, in bed at 8:30. At noon, husband, holding d's hand (ready for soccer game) says "are you going to sleep all damn day?" Boy did we have a convo later about this ridiculous behavior. He eventually got on board, but OMG. 😡

I work overnights (full time) and people still forget.
I sometimes use an app that auto replies to text messages for me. You can type in any message you want and select who gets it....
Hi! I'm currently sleeping. I'll get back to you when I start my day. Thank you for your…

I once finished 8am, late leaving home after 9am, bed at 10am, about 10:10 postie at door, answered, snide comment about me sleeping while decent ppl were working, and paying taxes to alloe me to do this. I just cried

Thankfully, my husband worked night shift for years, so he would completely understand. Just as I respected his sleep when he was on nights.

I had a new baby who wasn’t sleeping, working nights. I was awakened by some Bible thumpers, despite a no solicitation sign (also woke up the baby). I came through the front door so hot one of them stumbled backwards off the porch and sat in the shrubbery. Not 1 single regret!

That’s early if you have to work again tonight too. I couldn’t sleep 🛌 past 2 or 3 pm when I worked nights, & then struggled to stay awake all night that night at work. Hated nightshift!

I worked with an amazing RT on night shift. It wasn’t often but she would sit down at 2am and call her son. Ask what he was doing, be incredulous that he was sleeping. Say goodbye. Then announce he wouldn’t wake her up at 11am for a while. 😎

I feel grateful for living alone while I am on night shifts. I slept today after 3 nights at 10 am woke up at 7 pm. I’d be in a grumpy mode if someone wakes me up earlier. 🙄

I work nights and this is probably one of my biggest annoyances. My husband and kids let me sleep in peace but other people just do not get it.

My mom worked nights pretty much the entire time I was in school. We learned hard that the one thing we did NOT do was disturb the day sleeper.
