My hospital system refused to renew any travel contracts and stated they won’t offer any new contracts. They also cut the incentive for their own staff to pick up by over half so I’m not sure who they think is going to take care of the patients but doesn’t seem like they care

They will next claim a crisis. Watch and see what they say and ask to be done. Lower standards, legal shields, less nursing care, unlicensed caregivers. It won't be pretty

Administration absolutely have no idea what’s happening on the floor, pts are buncha numbers to them and nurses are cost centers

A friend had their hospital do this. And now it’s mandatory overtime for all staff. They are leaving in droves.

So what is the long game? I wonder if hospital execs around the country are talking about how to break the nurses who are demanding higher salaries/traveling. We have a chance, but there's a LOT of power against us.
