What is the preferred OS? I have a windows laptop my son uses with a Kali install running in a VM. I have similar and also an old MacBook Pro running Ubuntu.
I have odeas about a mini lab. But not sure how to implement.

I know nothing. Will I need to get Linux running on a pc before starting the course or will that be covered in the course? Is there a "you need this" list before you begin type section?
