In preparation for Pirate Nation going free-to-play (F2P), a snapshot will be taken of all Founder's Pirates in early September (date: to be announced).
Existing players will be grandfathered into our new trading system for F2P players.

We recently shared our free-to-play plans to achieve expansion without dilution, growing our playerbase through the introduction of a separate, new collection of temporarily soulbound Pirates for F2P players.

New incoming F2P players will initially only be able to purchase ('import') items and Pirate Gold.
They will also be able to earn items through gameplay, but won't be able to sell ('export') them without a Trade License. 📜
When new F2P players enter the game, they will be able to mint a Pirate for free, which will be soulbound to their account (wallet).
F2P players will not be able to sell any in-game items right away, they will only be able to purchase items.

New F2P accounts must earn a Trade License by playing the game to reach Command Rank 10, or they can purchase one.
This means new F2P accounts won't be able to sell items until they reach an in-game milestone, helping to maintain a stable economic ecosystem for Pirate Nation.

To prevent disruption to existing players, we're doing a snapshot, unlock, & Trade License airdrop.
All snapshotted wallets will be unlocked & can continue selling items in the Pirate Nation ecosystem.
Wallets containing two or more Founder's Pirates, get an additional airdrop.

HOW SNAPSHOT, UNLOCK, & AIRDROP WORKS:
Wallets with 1 Founder's Pirate will be unlocked to trade immediately, & won't receive a Trade License airdrop.
Wallets with 2 or more will be unlocked to trade immediately, & will receive 1 additional Trade License airdropped per Pirate.

Wallet with 1 Pirate ➜ Unlocked & doesn't receive Trade License.
Wallet with 2 Pirates ➜ Unlocked & receives 1 Trade License.
Wallet with 5 Pirates ➜ Unlocked & receives 4 Trade Licenses.

WEN AIRDROP ❓ ➜ For wallets with 2 or more pirates, your additional Trade License(s) will be airdropped as tradeable NFTs on Arbitrum Nova within 48 hours of the snapshot.

DEFLATIONARY ❓ ➜ Yes, Trade Licenses are deflationary.
Once they are applied to an account (wallet), the wallet will be permanently unlocked and can start selling items. The Trade License is burned in the process, meaning it can no longer be traded.
